1. Introduction and Scope
This Warranty Policy sets out the warranty protection we provide for work completed by Aqua Dash Plumbing Limited. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions and should be read in conjunction with that document and our Complaints Policy.
Please note that this warranty applies only to work carried out by Aqua Dash and does not cover parts or appliances that you have supplied yourself, nor does it cover pre-existing defects, fair wear and tear, or damage arising from misuse or failure to follow our aftercare instructions. In addition to any warranty provided here, you retain your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 Parts Supplied and Installed by Aqua Dash We provide a limited 7-day warranty on brand-new parts supplied and installed by our team during plumbing work. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and immediate failure of new parts due to defective materials or workmanship.
The warranty period runs from the date on which the work is completed and the invoice is paid or the job completion form is signed. For the warranty to be valid, you must report any defect or failure within 7 days of completion.
2.2 Workmanship We guarantee that all work carried out by our engineers will be performed with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with industry standards and good practice, and in compliance with applicable building regulations and safety requirements. If, within 7 days of completion, you identify a defect that is due to our workmanship, we will attend and assess it at no additional charge. Where the assessment confirms that the defect is due to deficient workmanship on our part, we will carry out remedial work free of charge.
2.3 On-Site Testing and Handover All repair work, installations and clearance services are tested and demonstrated to you on site in your presence before our engineer departs. We will conduct flow tests, pressure tests, leak tests or other appropriate checks depending on the nature of the work, and we will show you that the work has been completed satisfactorily. By paying the invoice or signing the job completion form, you confirm that the work was completed satisfactorily and that you have identified no defects at that time.
3. Warranty Exclusions
The following items and types of work are explicitly excluded from our warranty: 3.1 Drain and Toilet Unblocking Services We provide no warranty on drain unblocking, toilet clearing or drain cleaning services.
Whilst we use professional techniques and equipment to clear blockages, we cannot guarantee that a cleared drain or toilet will not become blocked again, as the underlying cause may not be fully eliminated or may recur due to misuse, debris accumulation, structural issues in the drainage system, or third-party interference. By signing the job completion form after a blockage has been cleared, you accept that the drain or toilet has been successfully cleared at the time of the visit.
3.2 Emergency Containment and Temporary Repairs Where the work consists of an emergency containment repair, temporary fix or patching of an acute problem on old, corroded or structurally compromised pipework, no warranty is provided. We will always make clear at the time of the visit whether the repair is temporary or permanent. Temporary repairs are carried out to bring an emergency situation under control and to prevent immediate damage; they are not intended to be a permanent solution. You will be advised on the follow-up permanent repair required, which will be quoted as a separate job. 3.3 Old, Deteriorated or Corroded Pipework We provide no warranty on repairs carried out to old, deteriorated, corroded, calcified or structurally compromised pipework or water systems. Repairs to aged infrastructure carry a higher risk of subsequent failure due to the pre-existing poor condition of the system.
Where we repair such pipework, we will assess the work on site and explain the limitations and risks to you. Any remedial work arising from failure of old pipework (rather than from defective workmanship) will be treated as a new call-out and charged accordingly.
3.4 Customer-Supplied Parts Where you supply parts, fixtures or appliances that we install, we provide a warranty on the installation only and not on the part itself. We accept no liability for defects in or failure of customer-supplied items, and we do not carry a workmanship guarantee for items you have sourced independently. Our role is to install the item with reasonable care; any defect in the item itself is a matter between you and the supplier.
3.5 Subsequent Leaks Claims regarding leaks following our attendance must be made within 24–48 hours of completion, as set out in our Terms and Conditions and our Complaints Policy. If an inspection shows that the leak originates from a different section of the pipe or system, or that it was caused by tampering, alteration or interference by you or a third party, the visit will be billed as a new emergency call-out.
3.6 Cosmetic, Masonry or Surface Damage This warranty does not cover cosmetic or surface damage such as scratches, marks to walls, ceilings, flooring, tiles or furniture. Any visible cosmetic damage must be reported to the engineer on site before they depart and noted on the job sheet. Subsequent claims will not be accepted. 3.7 Fair Wear and Tear The warranty does not cover failure resulting from normal wear and tear, ageing, corrosion or deterioration of the system over time. Plumbing systems have a finite lifespan, and parts will eventually require replacement as they age.
3.8 Misuse and Failure to Follow Instructions The warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from misuse of plumbing fixtures or systems, damage caused by the customer, or failure to follow aftercare instructions provided by our engineer. You are responsible for using plumbing fixtures and systems in accordance with their design and any guidance given.
3.9 Third-Party Interference We accept no liability for damage or failure caused by work subsequently carried out by you, another plumber, or any third party after our work is complete. If you commission another contractor to work on the same or related systems, you should inform that contractor of the work we have carried out so that they can assess any interaction between the two jobs. 3.10 Acts Beyond Our Control The warranty does not apply to damage or failure resulting from events beyond our control, including severe weather, flooding, subsidence, structural movement, utility company failures, or actions by third parties.
4. How to Claim Under Warranty
If you identify a defect or failure within the warranty period (7 days from completion), you should contact us immediately: Telephone: 07874 014820 Email: [email protected] Website: www.aquadash-plumbing.co.uk Please provide the following information: Your full name and contact details, the date on which the work was completed, your invoice or job reference number, a clear description of the defect or failure, and photographs if available. We will assess your claim and arrange for an engineer to visit if necessary. The engineer will examine the work and establish whether the defect is covered by the warranty. If the claim is valid, we will carry out remedial work free of charge. If the defect falls outside the warranty — for example, because it results from fair wear and tear or from work carried out after our visit — we will explain this and provide a quote for any further work required.
Claims made after 7 days, or claims that fall within one of the warranty exclusions above, will not be accepted under this warranty. However, you retain the right to raise a complaint about the quality of the work in accordance with our Complaints Policy, which allows complaints up to 7 days after completion and may result in remedial work or refund where appropriate.
5. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this warranty policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection legislation. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price. If we fail to meet these requirements, you have statutory rights of redress, which are separate from and additional to any warranty provided under this policy. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a warranty claim, you may raise a complaint under our Complaints Policy or seek further advice from Citizens Advice or an alternative dispute resolution provider.
6. Relationship with Other Policies
This Warranty Policy should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions, our Complaints Policy and any written quote provided for the work. Where there is any inconsistency between these documents, the most recently issued written communication from us will apply.
